I.N.V. Istituto Nazionale di Verifiche is a Type A Inspection Body operating in accordance with UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17020 for the periodic and extraordinary inspection of the installations referred to in D.P.R. 462/01.

I.N.V. has defined a Regulation (RG01) describing the rules that govern contractual relations with Clients and illustrating the procedures applied by I.N.V. in carrying out those activities.

As a Type “A” Inspection Body (ref. UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17020), that is as a “third party”, I.N.V. ensures compliance with the principles of Independence, Impartiality and Confidentiality:

• it assesses its ability to perform this activity in accordance with those principles and undertakes not to carry out inspections where it cannot guarantee them;
• it undertakes to constantly assess potential risks to impartiality and to put in place control measures for their minimisation/elimination.

I.N.V. guarantees a high quality standard of inspection activity through:

• the adoption of a Management System conforming to UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17020;
• Accreditation and surveillance by Accredia;
• Ministerial Authorisation;
• constant technical and regulatory updating and training;
• the qualification, training and monitoring of its inspectors;
• the use of instrumentation calibrated by Accredited Calibration Laboratories (under UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025).

To protect the Client, the Body holds an insurance policy covering:

• professional civil liability;
• third-party civil liability;
• damage from interruption or suspension of an activity following facts attributable to the Body;
• employees’ personal civil liability.

In addition, I.N.V. accounts are verified by independent auditors.
